It’s about that time for the 2009 Stylus Awards, honouring the best in the Canadian urban music scene. From dj’s, emcees, singers...you name it, the Stylus Awards recognizes the achievements of all those striving to make an impact in the Canadian hip-hop/urban community.
This is where we NEED YOUR HELP JCOM-MUNITY!!!...We are making a last minute push for our man DJ JAMES REDI to get voted in for the RATED NEXT category for the best up and coming dj...and I can’t think of another DJ that fits that description better than JAMES REDI... as most of you already know, with Jcom Clothing and Valid Point Productions...waters run DEEP!!!..this is FAMILY y’all...so PLEASE if you haven’t voted already, I kindly request that you take 2 secs of your time to do so...it would be greatly appreciated and mean ALOT to us here at Jcom...but even more importantly, to our MAIN MAN...DJ JAMES REDI!!!

James REDi has Paid more dues than 99% of these Serato DJS... FROM FLYERING on the Streets at 14 for R.E.M.G to his DUSTY FINGER days working at Play DE Record (that was before Serato came out). Attending Hip Hop SHOWs and Festivals from an early age, REDi knew of most of the countries artists before they knew themselves...Former Music director for Radio Humber 96.9 and constantly on the GRIND for FLOW 93.5...REDi has been put in work at Canadian Music Week, and in Past years at the Stylus Awards. James is the CO-Founder of VALID POINT PRODUCTIONS and a CANADIAN URBAN MUSIC ADVOCATE since DAY 1..Recently James REDi and DJ MAKEM came together forming the TEAM FLOW DJ's...LAYING GROUNDWORK for over a decade James REDi is rising to the top, with some of the city’s top DJ's and Artists BEHIND him.......
So if that’s not enough motivation to vote...I don’t know what is. But one thing I do know is that JAMES REDI is the real deal...he eats, sleeps, and breathes MUSIC!!!...I got stories for days...from 14,15 years old, checking out shows together like Snoop Dogg, and Royce Da 5’9...to more recently hooking up at Ice Cream Summer fests, Kanye’s Glow in the Dark Tour, and The Rock the Bells hip-hop festival...and so much more, too many to mention...my point being that James Redi is a true FAN of MUSIC...HE LOVES IT!!! And he’s beeeen on his grind mastering his craft in the art of DJ-ing...so that’s why I think we should all do our part and get this man nominated...ya feel me!!!
