We are Just Compton Clothing are very sadden by the recent letter Sanga Genesis wrote about Goodboy Clothing coming to a halt. We have learned a lot and will forever learn from the team at Goodboy. Every single person that worked within Goodboy are more then good people they are great people, they are the most down to earth and caring team we have ever met in this industry. They gave us the oppertunity to talk to them on nermourous occasions, and with that we became very close. We are almost speechless at this moment. But we know that Goodboy Clothing will be back, and we cannot wait. We wanted to once again thanks to the whole team at Goodboy Clothing. Thank you Sanga, Thank you Jason. Thank you Wendell. Thank you Ryan. Thank you Jonathan. Thank you Rinoy. THANK YOU GOODBOY.

"Dear World,

Thank you!

It started with a couple spray cans, some tees, and a garage. Then, with big ideas (and even bigger ambition), it produced one of the greatest life experiences the goodboy team and I have ever shared. Six years filled with copious amounts of ups, downs, obstacles, opportunities, triumphs, and tribulations. However, just like the title of one of my favorite bboy tracks by Coke Escovdeo - “I wouldn’t change a thing”.

I wish I could personally thank every single person who has been involved in this journey. Thank you to the friends we’ve made along the way. Thanks to the amazingly talented individuals we have been blessed to collaborate with, as well as those who have come and worked with us.

Most importantly, thank you to every single person who has rocked goodboy and made us all really believe that life is what you make it.

All good things, however, do not last. They grow, they change, and they turn over a new leaf. And now has come the time for the team behind goodboy to each turn over their leaf to pursue new opportunities and dreams. So with that being said, it is bittersweet to say that goodboy clothing will no longer be putting out fresh clothing.

We are grateful for the love and support we have received over the years and are appreciative of everyone who has stuck by us through the ups and downs of this grind. We cannot stress how important you have all been to us.

Thank you for the lessons, the inspiration, and most of all, love.

This past Friday at Rivoli, we attended a crazy ass hip hop show called 'Droppin Knowledge'. As we have recenlty blogged about, DK is a monthly showcase of artists which NO ONE should miss. we expected an entertaining evening but our experience went beyond expectation. The performances are always unreal, the party is always poppin, and we had to make sure that you got a glimpse of what really goes on at a dope jam like this. All I gotta say is that us explaining the night does not do it justice, but there is a man who documented this whole bonanza!

We were at a great event on Friday night, "Droppin' Knowledge!!", y'already know, Jaff wrote a wicked, I mean wicked write up of the event a few days ago. Now we just want all of our fans to join the ever growing fanbase of these dope MC's.

They are some of the hardest working MC's out there, and they do it cause they love it. You can see it in their eyes that all they wanna do is ROCK THAT CROWD. I'm not going to get into to much details, cause i want people to really take in their music and once you do that, you will understand. Toronto emcee set to answer questions about debut mixtape, 24:7.


Toronto, ON - Hip hop emcee Crossword is releasing his debut mixtape, 24:7, online in July 2010. In anticipation of the 16 track package, he will be posting a video clip and a song for each of the six weeks leading up to the release.


Each week, Crossword will answer a one of the five W's about 24:7 in the film segment, hence the title Dub 5. The video clips follow Crossword throughout the city of Toronto in the "day in the life" format. In the sixth and final edition, the clips will be compiled along with bonus cuts.


This is the preview to the six week Dub 5 special, where Crossword explains what's in store in the coming weeks.


24:7 features music by local producers JustUnlimited, Hector, Lullabye, Noyz, and Crossword himself, plus two J Dilla beats.

Hey J -Community!...it’s your boy Jaff. I know it’s been a while since I last hit up the blog...but being that it’s a new year, with a lot on our plate for 2010, I will definitely be keeping you up to date with more posts, including all the latest on J Com Clothing and our Team!

Having said that and on a more serious note, I write this today regarding a very important issue. The recent tragic events that have occurred in Haiti have affected so many people. It has devastated the people of Haiti and their families, friends, and loved ones worldwide. When reflecting on such an overwhelming event it brings great sadness and a heavy heart, and instinctively we wanted to help out in any way we could.

Just Compton Clothing and Talk to Element have teamed up to help raise money for the Red Cross and their Haiti relief efforts. The result: our “HI HAITI” Helping Hand T-shirt. The shirt features a handprint signifying “unity” worldwide, reaching out to lend a hand. In the centre of the palm, there is an outline of the nation of Haiti. The shirt reads the words “HI HAITI” in blue and red, the traditional colours of the Haitian flag. More than a slogan, “HI HAITI” represents our collective acknowledgement of the Haitian people. “WE SEE YOU” is our message and “HELP” and “HOPE” is on the way!

We will be selling these tees for $25 with $20 from each tee going to the Red Cross to help support those in Haiti. We ask that you help out by purchasing one if you haven’t already donated. If you have already donated and still want to contribute it is very much appreciated! Help a great cause and show your support by getting your "HI HAITI" tee...there's strength in numbers and together we can make a difference...Haiti “WE SEE YOU” let's all lend a helping hand!
